Our first gig!
The band was formed to play at the celebration of Sarge’s 21st Birthday party at the Old Whitgiftians Association, Croydon.
The inaugural lineup was:
Sarge on vocals and occasional guitar
Pete Champion on Lead Guitar and guest vocals on Hoochie Coochie Man
Elliot Seymour on Rhythm Guitar
Jon Marshall on Bass
Chris Coode on Drums
Pete, Jon, Elliot and Chris had previously performed under the name Man About a Dog with Paul Champion on vocals during our school days in Dorset.
Pete and Jon met singer, Sarge at Ravensbourne College and formed the new band, but on this occasion we played without a name, not wanting to use the old one.
We nervously got through the following short set:
